I'm a little bit late in getting this post up but I just started a new job and I've been tired in the evenings. So, how many books over 400 pages did I get read this summer? Let's list them out:
- Dreamless by Josephine Angelini (487 pages)
- The Knife of Never Letting Go, Chaos Walking, Book 1 by Patrick Ness (479 pages)
- For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund (403 pages)
- A Feast for Crows, A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4 by George R. R. Martin (684 pages)
- Witchlanders by Lena Croakley (400 pages)
- Shadow of Night, A Discovery of Witches, Book 2 by Deborah Harkness (577 pages)
- Finnicken of the Rock, The Lumatere Chronicles, Book 1 by Melina Marchetta (officially 399 pages but I'm listing it here because it had a four page prologue that wasn't numbered making it 403 pages)
- Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris (445 pages)
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (406 pages)
Not too bad. There were a couple of the big books such as The Book Thief that I really wanted to get to this summer but the feeling wasn't right at that time when I picked them up. Oh well, guess they'll be winter reads. I really enjoyed participating in this challenge and hope to do it again next summer.
Wow, Melissa, you rocked this challenge!! 9 Big Books in one summer - amazing! My son just finished A Feast for Crows and can't wait to get book #5!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I think 399 pages counts ;)
Thanks for participating in the challenge - I'm glad you enjoyed it!

P.S. Love the new look of the blog!
Thanks for the compliments, Sue. I can't wait for Book 5 either but I'm determined to have a trade paperback so that it'll match all my other books and, alas, the publication date for the paperback keeps getting pushed back.
Delete9 chunky books is amazing. Good job! I posted my list of three books today. My downfall was not reading a single book in August.
